In some applications, foam is needed to obtain some sensorial effects (e.g.hand dish washing). In this case, the ability of the foam to be persistent is the key issue. At the contrary, in other applications (agrochemical application, industrial application, laundry), foam has to be broken very quickly and efficiently (anti foam or defoamer).
